Most of the players in the Santa Clara recruiting class are Northern California kids. The one who has a chance to be the best of this group, in my opinion, is the outfielder from Hawaii. I got a chance to see him play at the Area Code Games and he is a talented kid. Cederquist was at Fresno State but left to attend Fresno City College because he was stuck behind another player at Fresno State. He missed most (if not all) of his senior senior season in high school and another year of not playing every day was not going to be good for him. Those who remember his performance at the Area Codes after his junior year remember one of the more outstanding hitting performances in Area Code Games history.
I can't recall a year when SCU signed as many as three JC players.
